The interpersonal relationships we form in our lives define who we are in society. Relationships occur in our family or kinship relations, friend groups, marriage, workplace, business, clubs and neighbourhoods. Interactions within these relationships can give rise to conflict that fails to resolve. The escalation of this conflict into a major dispute may impact upon the effectiveness and viability of the relationship.
